A Dummy's Guide To Setting Up An Account With YourAM
This is a simple article and guide on how to setup an account with YourAM.
Step 1
Sign up an account! After you registered for an account, you will be sent an email to activate the account. Click on the activation link, you should see a message telling you that your account has been activated. If you do not activate your account, you will not be able to sign in to YourAM.
Step 2
Sign in to YourAM via the "Log In" page. Most users make the mistake of thinking that the "Sign Up" page is the "Log In" page. But they are different so don't mix them up. If you are in the "Sign Up" page, click on "Back to account log in" to sign in to YourAM. Enter your email and password and you are good to go!
Caution:: Some users make the mistake of resetting their password at this stage. Do not do that because only after you have completed the wizard will you be allowed to reset your password. Your account is not actually created until you have completed the initial wizard setup.
Step 3
Complete the initial wizard. This stage is important because it is used to set up the basic information about your business so that you can start making appointments. You can edit on the details once you have completed the wizard in the "Account" tab.
Step 4
Make an appointment. After completing the wizard you should be automatically redirected to the scheduler. Click on "Appointment" under "Schedule Activity" and make an initial appointment. You should have no contacts at this point so just enter a new contact with a unique mobile number. Anyway, if you are using a free account package, no SMS will be actually sent.
Caution: If you are doing some initial testing with a paid account package, make sure that the mobile numbers you enter exists. To do testing, just borrow a second mobile phone and use the second phone as your contact number. You will also need to complete the "SMS Setup" under the "Account" tab first before testing with your mobile phone.
Note: All the mobile numbers you use in your account must be unique because the system uses it to uniquely identify both your members and contacts.
Step 5
Check for your automated notification. You should have received your appointment notification via email and/or SMS once the appointment has been successfully scheduled. You should verify this notification for both you and your contact so that you know what your contacts will receive automatically when you schedule appointments.
Step 6
Make an appointment via your booking page. You can access your booking page either via the "Account" tab under "My Booking Page" or by entering your booking page URL directly into a browser. Click on "My Booking Page" and schedule another new appointment with the same contact that you created in Step 4. Repeat step 5.
Step 7
Last and most important step is to start sharing your booking page URL with others. Place a link or button on your own website and/or social networking sites using your booking page URL so that others can start making appointments with you.
Finally, you can also print your booking page URL on your name cards, banners, billboards and etc to let others simply make appointments with you on their own. Enjoy!
